Quality Control during the Design Phase

WeLabel is dedicated to achieving successful project results with each of our clients. Thus, it is important to start with the quality control process from the very beginning. Once the input and design phase is initiated, dimensions, aesthetics, and functions requirements are simulated by our team to assure the reliability of the design and the main function needed of the product is present. Many entrepreneurs, brand owners, and SMEs carry out the input and design phase directly with Chinese manufacturers, and in many cases, this results in failure to measure the reliability of their product design, which in turn requires vendors to improvise a different end product. Our expertise allows customers to have their end product as they have envisioned.

Quality Control During the Sample Phase

Part of our quality management process is to assure that the sample/ prototype design has been implemented exactly as required, and that it can be actually used for mass production. WeLabel quality experts tests the sample precisely through measuring dimensions, specifications, functionality, and packaging quality before shipping the sample to the customer.

The Product

We start with the most important aspect of a quality management program: clear production target. The first thing is to define the required materials and technical specifications properly so we can identify the critical quality factors.

The Supplier

The process of ensuring quality in manufacturing involves more than observing the factory in question. The credentials of both the manufacturer and their suppliers are inspected as well. However, our goal is to be cost effective, while maintaining high quality. Through this process we ensure that the supplier fulfills our product requirements during the mass production phase.

The Production Line

Following the understanding of the product and the inspection of the materials, we review the entire production line, taking a detailed look at the actual process and examining the defect rate at the end of the first production cycle. The materials used in each manufacturing step are documented and listed for future reference: process changes, material alternatives and supplier recommendations are recorded.

Quality Control During the Packaging Phase

Whether packages needed is branded or not, specifications provided for packaging at the initial phase is assured to be met. Packing materials and methods used are important for the un-packaging experience of the consumer and the safety of the product during internal and global shipping. Some packaging specifications may be altered with some modifications to meet the logistical requirements whether the freight is by air or ocean. By performing a drop test from 1.5 meters, we ensure the packed product won’t be harmed nor damaged under any circumstance.

Quality Control During the Shipping Phase

Normally, the products are shipped from the manufacturer to their warehouses then to the loading port, and finally to the receiving port. While loading and un-loading the products, there are risks of damaging the goods through dropping, throwing, or mishandling the packages. Depending on the incoterms agreed, our inspectors will be present during the transportation phase to ensure no harm will occur. Part of our quality management protocols is to give the customers feedback through proper documentation consisting of:

1. Quality inspection reports for each phase.
2. Photos of the products before packaging.
3. Photos of the packed product.
4. Photos of the packages at the warehouse.
5. Photos of the packages in the container.
6. Video of the loading process.
7. Video of products handling and sorting in the container.
8. Biweekly report of the shipping status/ transportation phases.
